Hi everyone and let me just say how proud that Kathryn has named her new writer's blog after me. I'll be posting notes right along with Kathryn, so check back often. Let me tell you something about myself. I'm Maude and I live inside Kathryn's book, Delores Fletcher, Cobweb Catcher. I don't mind saying I play a major part in the book, yes I do. I know since this is the only book in what may become an exciting series, that maybe next time she'll take a few more paragraphs and include at least one of my twelve children before they take to the wind for their new homes. What's a mother black widow spider to do? This last batch is constantly climbing over my web, eating bugs, eating each other (well, maybe we shouldn't talk about that) - such cuties! Sure, try picking up after dozens of hungry spiderets and constantly having to keep a lookout for a new father figure. These guys just won't hang around long. I just don't know why. Gladys, my best friend said I scare them off. What does she know? Well, back to Kathryn. I'll let her talk for now. She's got lots of news from the SCBWI from this past weekend. Stay tuned. I'll be back.
